A significant amount of people with epilepsy are finding that seizure medications aren’t working. The parents in this video felt like they were out of options when even surgery couldn’t help their little girl. They had enough of the harsh, dangerous and unhelpful procedures their daughter was enduring, and sought out a more natural route.

Seven-year old Sophia Nazzarine is just like many other seven-year olds – she loves Frozen, singing and has a loving family. Sophia has suffered from intractable epilepsy, a debilitating disorder that can cause her to have more than 100 seizures a day, since she was six months old.

There is hope for her, and others suffering from seizures. Doctors around the world are researching cannabidiol (CBD), and studies are coming out that indicate that CBD may be an effective option for people like her, who don’t respond well to the current medical treatments. However, all forms of cannabis are illegal in Ohio, Sophia’s home state.

7 years old, 3 brain surgeries and 1 banned plant that might be her big chance for a normal life. Sophia is an extraordinary child with incredibly courageous parents. Watch the video to hear more about her powerful story.
