Hello friends! We have a lot of people reaching out about CBD, and one of the biggest questions we get asked is: “What does CBD feel like?”
May folks are curious about CBD, or are looking for things that it offers, but aren’t aware of how safe and effective it can be! I thought this could be a good time to talk about how it affects us, and the potential benefits people can look forward to when using it. Of course, we aren’t doctors, so please have a chat with yours before making any health decisions.
With that being said, CBD is a game changer, and is getting a lot of attention. This Forbes survey reveals how nearly half of the people who use CBD stop taking traditional medicines, which is a mind-blowing statistic, especially in light of the fact that our nation is in an opioid crisis. While many people are hearing about CBD in the news, they may not be aware of how it works, or how it might support them in their everyday lives. Here are a few helpful FAQs to get you started!
Will CBD make me high?
No. CBD is a more grounded, functional experience. Many people report a feeling of increased calm, relaxation and humor, but don’t typically experience any disorientation, forgetfulness, dizziness or increased appetite typified in cannabis experiences.
How will my body feel?
I thought it would be helpful to share my personal experience here! When I use our tincture or softgels, for example, I find that any muscle aches I have start to soften, the unconscious tension I hold in my body begins to relax, and I have a feeling of vitality – like I have the stamina to keep going. It’s not like a burst of caffeine-fueled energy or the hard-hitting wave of a painkiller – this is a more organic experience for me. I feel like myself, just without the stiffness, anxiety and pain that kept getting in my way. This isn’t a cure for any of those conditions, but I did find that it helped me feel much more normal and capable.
What situations could it be useful in?
Sleep – For a few of my friends, they find that the nights they use our products are the nights they get their best sleep. I find it a great daytime support myself, but others have experienced so much relaxation that they were able to drift off after a stressful day where they’d typically be up and agitated.
Hiking – I have a friend who found it incredibly helpful for hiking. She would experience joint pain and painfully tight lungs on her high-altitude treks, but when she started using CBD, she found her body looser and more adaptable.
Exercise & Physical Therapy – I found CBD to be an incredible tool for helping me feel good while pushing myself in new exercises. I’ve also had friends share how it was a wonderful support to them when healing from surgery or injuries.
Social Settings – Lots of us have anxiety. I can be a bit shy myself! I’ve found the vapes and mints to be great tools to bring with me in social settings where I’d really like to open up and feel my best. Personally, I’ve found myself more able to slow down and be more attentive to small details like textures, tastes and social cues than I ordinarily would be.
Yoga – Yoga and hemp are a match made in heaven! It’s become wildly popular here in Colorado to have yoga sessions with CBD tea, supplements and vapes available. If you’re a local, you’ve probably seen our products, especially the Hemptealicious tea on tables at your favorite local studio!
There are plenty of other ways to enjoy hemp! Where do you find it most helpful? Let us know!
