Brewing hemp leaves and flowers as a tea is a gentle, traditional way to develop a love of hemp. For those interested in supporting homeostasis and general wellness, a warm cup of herbal hemp tea is especially relaxing at bedtime.
Hemptealicious™ tea is a superfood that boasts many health benefits. With a flavor reminiscent of an earthy green tea, our non-GMO hemp adds a grounding, soothing balance to your favorite herbal tea flavors. Rich in antioxidants, hemp has been cultivated for thousands of years for a wide variety of uses, including promoting overall health and wellness of many key bodily functions.
Try hemp tea for its relaxing properties that can support sleep, stress, mood, and other benefits including joint comfort, appetite, immune support, and more. When whole hemp compounds are left in their raw natural state, they provide a wealth of benefits for the mind and body.
The acid form of CBD, CBD-A is easier for your body to take up and utilize than oil-based CBD.
Although our bodies naturally produce cannabinoids, (“endocannabinoids,”) sometimes these are insufficient to counteract illness, trauma, or high stress levels which can disrupt biological functions and throw our endocannabinoid system out of balance. At those times, the body can benefit from plant-based cannabinoids (“phytocannabinoids.”) CBD’s role is to bring homeostasis to your endocannabinoid system, which acts in complex ways to balance our immune system, nervous system, and a surprising number of the body’s organs. It’s a bridge between body and mind.
What’s the Difference Between the Cannabinoids in Hemptealicious and in other CBD Teas?
The acid form of cannabinoids in our teas are “extracted” the way nature intended, by brewing leaves and flowers at home in hot water. The acid form of cannabinoids, such as CBD-A, is obtained only from raw hemp that has not been decarboxylated. Decarboxylation is the process where we convert the acid form of CBD (CBD-A) into CBD which likes oils.
Most CBD teas on the market are black or green tea leaves with CBD distillate (the post-decarboxylation product) sprayed onto the leaves. By contrast, the cannabinoids naturally present in Hemptealicious™ are not sprayed-on, highly-processed CBD oils, but are those naturally released in hot water brewing by at home.
When you brew the tea at home, use water just below boiling and allow the teabag to steep for 15 minutes. Long steeping will release more of the natural terpenes and cannabinoids in their acid form. Hemp doesn’t go bitter with the longer steeping cycle. By contrast, oversteeping black or green teas results in a bitter flavor.
Hemptealicious™ teas infuse our passion for whole plant hemp into every cup. Delicate, young hemp plant leaves and flowers are lovingly hand-picked by our greenhouse gardeners, dried in Colorado’s fresh air and sunshine, and then professionally blended into delicious flavors.
