This week we’re all about staying healthy while enjoying an active lifestyle so I thought a delicious pre-workout snack would be perfect-o for this weeks #FOODIEFRIDAY. Yesterday I let everyone in on my favorite pre-workout routine and I mentioned that I always have a great snack with a solid dose of Pure Hemp Botanicals Tincture. While it’s easy to just take the tincture under the tongue I always love finding different tasty treats that I can add it to and anytime you want to do something strenuous on your body it’s really smart to give it an extra boost with a healthy snack. So for this week I’m going to give you the simplest but also tastiest pre-workout treat I use. A Yogurt Parfait. Now, for those of you who don’t have the time to sit and enjoy your delicious pre-workout treat you can toss it all in a blender, add a little water or juice of your choice and boom. It becomes a pre-workout smoothie you can drink on the go!
Recipe Prep Time: 3 minutes
Ingredients:
The ingredients for your pre-workout parfait are really customizable and each person is going to have a different preference.
- Yogurt of choice. I prefer So Delicious: Greek Style yogurt
- I get my granola in bulk from a store called Sprouts but you can choose any type of granola or even make your own!
- Chia Seeds, also a personal preference so if you’re not a chia lover you can omit those.
- Fruit of choice. Raspberries and strawberries here but you could add any kind of fruit that you love!
Instructions:
As with the ingredients how you layer your pre-workout parfait is up to you! I’ll give you my go to but feel free to mix it up however you’d like
- 2 Tablespoons of yogurt
- 2-3 drops of Pure Hemp Botanicals 300mg Full Spectrum Tincture
- 1/2 Tablespoon of Chia seeds
- 1-2 Tablespoons of granola
- 1 Tablespoon of Yogurt
- 2-3 drops of Pure Hemp Botanicals 300mg Full Spectrum Tincture
- 2-3 Tablespoons of Fruit mix
- 1/2 Tablesppon of Chia Seeds
- 2 Tablespoons of Yogurt
- 2-3 drops of Pure Hemp Botanicals 300mg Full Spectrum Tincture
- 1 Tablespoon of granola
- 1-2 Tablespoons of Fruit
- Top with a few sprinkles of chia seeds and another drop or two of Pure Hemp Botanicals Tincture!
That’s it! A super easy and really delicious pre-workout snack with an added Pure Hemp Botanicals CBD Boost! I usually eat my snack, give myself 10-15 minutes and then start with my warm-up!
