Healthy Snacking
The new year is a great time to get aligned with your intentions and refine what you want. Focusing on diet and health is a common goal for most people. If you are interested in self-improvement, better health, and feeling better, you can start with refining things in your life that set you back. For me, that is sugar. Cutting back on sugar has so many benefits to your health that will positively flow over into every area of your life. Below is a nutritious sugar-free chia pudding recipe that makes a great healthy snack or a fast filling breakfast!
Staying on Track
Making small adjustments that work with your lifestyle is the best way to stay consistent with your goals, and stay on track with what you really want. So instead of making any huge changes, I have taken a realistic, simple approach to improve my wellness this year. By making small refinements to my lifestyle, such as reducing sugar in my diet, but not limiting myself with hard rules, I find it is easier to stay on track and feel great about my progress.
I started the year off with a quick 3-day sugar cleanse to kickstart me and now I am sticking to a goal of two days a week sugar-free. I am refining meal choices and making delicious nourishing sugar free snacks. This has inspired me to be much more mindful of my food choices and not giving into unhealthy cravings.
Healthy Changes
Something that is helping me stay on track with clean eating is enjoying delicious snacks that sustain energy between meals. Here is one of my favorite sugar-free snacks loaded with 14 grams of fiber, 6 grams of protein, and is vegan friendly. You can also add your daily dose of CBD oil to your pudding. I like to make this blueberry chia pudding before bed and let it sit overnight, as it takes a few hours to gel up. You can enjoy it as an easy breakfast, it also makes a great mid-day snack and is super filling so it will help keep the cravings away.
